Summary:
The goal of this award from the NIH NCRR’s Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA) initiative is to create a center that will develop infrastructure for, and pursue research in, translational biomedical science. Linda Gallo is the Consortium-PI for the San Diego State University component, which focuses on community outreach and, in particular, attempts to engage the community in research and prevention efforts designed to link laboratory science discoveries with community-based diabetes risk reduction efforts.
